Snack Shack Coverage Policy

The WYLLL Snack Shack plays an important role in our league. It is one of our primary sources of fundraising revenue and helps keep registration fees affordable while supporting ongoing improvements to our facilities and player experience.

To ensure the Snack Shack operates smoothly throughout the season, all families are required to participate. Please read the following policies carefully. Failure to fulfill your Snack Shack obligation will result in a $150 fine, which is used to cover the cost of staffing your assigned shift.

Snack Shack Shift Requirements

1. Each family is required to work one (1) Snack Shack shift per player.
2. Each shift is approximately 2–3 hours, depending on the day. Weekday shifts are generally longer than weekend shifts.
3. You are responsible for covering your shift. To avoid the $150 fine:
   • Sign up for your shift on signup.com.
   • Arrive on time and remain for the entire shift.
   • If you hire someone to work your shift, you are responsible for ensuring they arrive and complete the shift.
   • Do not arrive more than 15 minutes late or leave early.
   • Wear appropriate attire: closed-toed shoes and hair pulled back.

Scheduling & Coverage Policies

1. No cancellations are permitted. Once a shift is selected and confirmed through signup.com, it must be covered by you, an approved teen hire, or another adult. If the shift is not covered, a $150 fine will be assessed.
2. Approved Teen Hire List. A list of approved teen hires will be provided by Team Parents or Managers and posted in the Snack Shack for reference. These teens have been trained and approved to work Snack Shack shifts.
   • Teen family members may only work your family’s shift if they are at least 16 years old.
   • If the teen is not on the Approved Teen Hire List, you are responsible for training them prior to the shift.
3. Please check your game schedule and personal calendar before selecting a shift. Any conflicts are your responsibility. You may not leave your Snack Shack shift to watch a game. No exceptions will be made, and leaving early will result in the $150 fine.
4. Only sign up for the required number of shifts.
5. Weather-related cancellations. If your shift is cancelled due to weather or field closures, you will be required to reschedule and complete your shift at a later date.
6. All shifts must be scheduled within the designated timeframe once the game schedule has been released.
7. All families must sign up for their Snack Shack shift by February 10.
